Question:
HI, I was looking to see if you could help me match a trailer hub for my pwc trailer. The # is SK0035, its a 1994 Shorelander PWC1000. The current bearings in there are BOTH L44649 1-1/16 and a inner grease seal of 1.25

Hey Shawn,
We have a hub with inner and outer bearings L44649 (1.063" inner diameter), the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000-lb Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 # AKIHUB-545-2-G-2K, though it uses a grease seal with a 1.50" inner diameter. Did you use a digital caliper to measure the spindle? I only ask because bearing measurements have to be extremely precise, and there isn't a hub with those bearings and a 1.25" grease seal.
A grease seal with a 1.25" inner diameter uses bearings L44643, which are a 1.000" inner diameter; that hub is # Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000-lb Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 # AKIHUB-545-2-G-1K.

I just pulled the hub off a 1994 Shorlander, and both bearings are L44649, and the seal diameter on the pinion is 1.270". So it seems that 1994 is an anomaly? Do I have to put my own kit together and reuse the hubs?
