Question:
After a few braking application the power brake booster vacuum is depleted. How is towed vehicle baking vacuum generated with the towed vehicle engine off?

Expert Reply:
Hi Walter; when you're in tow mode the electronic brake booster (EBB) will still receive power. There was a problem with this on the 2021-2022 models where it would enter sleep mode after 15 minutes even in tow mode. This was originally addressed under TSB 22-2210 but more recently they pushed out a software update to fix the problem. However, I would reach out to your local dealer and confirm this has been fixed on your 2023 before flat towing. As long as you have that EBB fix you can use a brake system like the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR.
