Will Gen-Y Cushioned Ball Mount Work Well to Smooth Out Towing
Updated 08/13/2024 | Published 08/10/2024 >
Question:
Hi Im looking for a shock absorbing hitch or hitch ball to tow around a lightweight tear trailer that weighs about 700lbs dry and about 1000lbs loaded. I was debating between the Gen Y hitch or the Curt Rocker all can you recommend one over the other thanks. And what additional equipment would I need?

Hey Julian, based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback we've gotten on the Gen-Y Cushioned ball mount part # 325-GH-12001 this would be the route I would recommend if you wanted to smooth out the ride quality. You would be able to reuse your current hitch ball and hitch pin/clip too.
