Hey Manny,

Even with a smaller trailer, it is not overkill and you can absolutely benefit using the Gen-Y Glyder Shock Absorbing Ball Mount for 2" Hitches # 325-GH-12001.

A trailer, regardless of size, is still going to be rigid, bounce, and affect the ride of your tow vehicle and the trailer. So adding some cushioning like you get with the Glyder is definitely a good idea, and something I recommend.

So if you do decide to go with the ball mount you'll also need a hitch ball, either the 2" # C54CR or 2-5/16" # C40007. For a hitch lock use part # e98881.

The Gen-Y will work, but need to 2in raise to low will bottom out. Is their adapted for the Gen-Y or I can use without using hitch riser?

@Manny The Gen-Y isn't available with a 2 inch rise and there isn't any type of adapter for it. The closest we can offer is a cushioned ball mount with a 2-3/4" rise, the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount # AMSC4HD.

@Manny Unfortunately the # 325-GH-12001 can only be used in the drop position.
