What Part of the Bumper Fascia Requires Trimming on a 2010 Volvo XC70 to Install a Trailer Hitch

By rear fascia do you mean rear bumper? or the lower silver piece on the rear bumper?

The fascia is the plastic bumper cover. The bumper is actually the structural support that sits behind the bumper fascia. I have attached the installation instructions that explains what trimming is required to install the Curt Trailer Hitch, # 13266, on your 2010 Volvo XC70. I have also attached a photo of the step that shows were to cut. showing where the fascia is trimmed when installing a trailer hitch on the Volvo XC70. As you can see, only the underside of the fascia is trimmed, so it should not be noticeable once the hitch is installed.
