Wiring A Light With Separate Wiring To Connect To A 4-Pole Trailer Wire Harness Connector

Question:

I have a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek and I would like to connect a set of led taillights to the Curt C56040. My issue is the led taillights have 4 wires each. Turn, Running, Brake and Ground. Its easy to connect the Turn, Running and Ground but how can I connect the Brake? I presume if I just combine the Brake and Turn from the taillights into the Curt that I will have an issue when the Brake is applied and Turn is on. Is it even possible to get these lights fully functional with the Curt C56040? Last option is to not use Turn and only connect the Brake to the Turn/Brake of the Curt. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Brandon,

Stop and turn light functions are usually tied together in trailer wiring. What is the light that you're trying to connect to the Curt # C56040?
