Question:

I have a 2012 Chevy Traverse and was considering the air lift 100 air bags for load support. I looked at the springs in my vehicle and there is only about 1 1/2inch between the travel stops and doesnt appear to be any way to put the bags into the springs. The travel stops are inside the springs and mounted to the top of the spring bracket so it doesnt look like you could route the hose up through the top of the spring. I would like to see detailed instructions on how these airbags would work on my vehicle and if I would have to remove the stops.

I have linked you to the full installation instructions for the AirLift # AL60816. The factory bump stops you referred to are cut off, to provide room for the air spring. The hole in the upper spring seat is enlarged in order to allow the hose to pass through. This is addressed on page 4 and 5 of the instructions.

When installing the air bags, it is absolutely crucial that the air lines are cut perfectly square otherwise they'll leak. We recommend using a tubing cutter like part # AL10530.
