Which Air Conditioner Unit For Dog Trailer

Question:
Want to install ac unit on a dog trailer that holds about 10 dogs. It use to have it but was removed. Its a roof mount like on rv. Would like 13500 to 15000 btu unit. Whats my options?

Hey Tim,
We can get you a good AC unit to keep those pups cool, and you can go with a unit that has a wall-mounted thermostat, or one that is manual where you control it from just the distribution box on the ceiling. I recommend going with a 15,000 Btu unit for the most cooling power, and you can choose from the following:
- White- Manual: Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR92PR
- Black - Manual: Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR32PR
- White - Wall Thermostat: Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR55PV
- Black - Wall Thermostat: Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR23PV
These each require a 14-1/4” x 14-1/4” opening on your roof (which you may already have since you mentioned an AC unit had already been installed), and a roof thickness of 3.5" - 6".

Hey Tim, how did things turn out with the 15,000 Btu Furrion Chill HE unit for your dog trailer? Did it give you the cooling performance you needed for the pups? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar trailer.
