Question:
I have a 2003 Pace American JT612TA2, GVWR 7000, Tandem Axle enclosed cargo trailer. It is in need of new brakes electric. Are the Dexter 23-180 and 23-181 the correct brake assemblies for this application? Thank you.

Well Steve, the only way for me to see exactly what brakes your trailer came with is by getting the serial number for each axle. I would say your trailer is most likely going to have 3,500lbs axles which would use a 10" brake like our etrailer Brakes # AKEBRK-35-SA. The 12" Brakes # 23-180 and # 23-181 you found are for larger 7,000lb axles.

Hey Steve, were you able to check the serial numbers on your axles to confirm which brake assemblies you need for your trailer? Knowing what you found could help others trying to match brakes to similar setups.
