Question:
I have a Renogy 200 watt suitcase solar panel that I would like to keep 2 12 volt batteries charged in my garage for emergency back up. What charger do I need? Not looking for a tender or maintenance charger, but an actual battery charger, if one exists.

I am a bit confused why you are looking for a Charger # NOC34FR if you are wanting to use a Solar Panel # 34282610 to keep your 12 volt batteries charged in your garage. The Renogy like our panel has its own charge controller built in so there is no need to have a separate charger on the batteries if the solar is maintaining them.

Thank you for the response Bud. I know a bit confusing. I am trying to keep a couple of 12V batteries charged for emergency when the power goes out. I have a generator, but would like a back up measure to power a Traeger, and other low draw items. I have an inverter I'll attach to the battery when in use. My thought is I don't want a maintainer, but something that will charge when they are being used. Are you saying I can plug the alligator clips directly to the panel and battery and no actual charger unit is needed?
