I own a 2016 Jayco redhawk and I would like to flat tow my 2018 Chevy equinox. What tow bar, wiring , safety equipment would I need to do so. Thank you

Expert Reply:
First you will need a Base Plate # RM-523193-5 for your 2018 Chevrolet Equinox. This will allow you to connect it to your 2016 Jayco Redhawk using the Tow Bar # RM-676. To determine if you will need an Adapter # BLU28XR you will need to verify the height of your receiver as the tow bar needs to be within 3" of vertical height from vehicle to vehicle. We found the base plate to have a height of 15-3/4" when installed on an Equinox in our shop.
The Accessory Kit # RM-9284-2 will contain lube, locks, a cover, storage bag and some of the electrical components you will need. You will need either the LED Diodes # RO54FR or Incandescent Diodes # RO34FR depending on which tail lights you have. And the Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 will maintain your battery charge while being flat towed.
I recommend the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Braking System # DM86VR as it is one of the simplest to use. Once installed you only need to flip a switch on when you are ready to flat tow.
