Question:
Im looking to install this on my fiberglass ARE MX Truck cap. I do believe there is a slight curve to the roof. Will this be an issue for installation ?

Hi Brandon; it really depends on how much of a curve you have on top. If it is a very slight curve you can probably get by with the butyl tape # 344270341410-1 under there and the regular installation. More of a curve may require some modifications. Worst case scenario you can build a thin frame to put under the flange so it sits flush. The # MA00-06401K fits roofs 1-1/8" to 6-1/2" thick so it looks like you will be adding material in there regardless to reach the proper thickness.

Hey Brandon, how did things go mounting the MaxxFan Deluxe on your ARE MX cap with that slight curve? Did the butyl tape give you a good seal or did you end up adding a frame under the flange? Your update could make it easier for others working with curved fiberglass caps.
