Updated 02/03/2026 | Published 06/25/2024

Question:

Hi. Looking to replace leaf springs on travel trailer. Tandem axle, each one rated at 3,500 lbs. Measurement between eyelets is 23 3/4.” I don’t see any springs on your website that would match up. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thx!

Hi Tim,

Appreciate the photo as those leaf springs definitely look worn so you're smart to replace them. And we do have an option to replace yours, because leaf springs also flatten a bit over time, so you should go with ones that measure a bit shorter than what you currently have.

So for your 3,500 lb springs that now measure 23-3/4" eye-to-eye, what I recommend going with is the 23-1/8" 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles # e59SR.

Hey Tim, how did the 23-1/8" leaf springs work out on your travel trailer? It’d be great to hear if they gave you the right fit and ride height. Your update could make it easier for others replacing worn springs on similar setups.

@ChrisR They worked great! One of the grease fittings broke, but that may have been my fault during install. Sizing was perfect and no issues. Still going strong. This was for a 2020 Winnebago 2455BHS travel trailer. Yesterday I ordered some parts to pack my hub bearings. You guys are the best! I love etrailer.

@TimN This is awesome to hear. Have fun packing those bearings and don't forget to wear some gloves...
