Question:
I need a replacement tongue for my trailer. I currently have a Dutton-Lainson 980-2 that came with the trailer. It just isnt easy. I have had a lot of trailers and for some reason this one sticks a lot. What is a good replacement? I can send photos too

Hey Mike,
The Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # DM15000-52 that you were looking at is exactly what I was going to recommend when you said you want an easy hookup. The Demco eZ-Latch will let you couple up to the trailer without having to lift the latch. When it's time to drop the trailer off just lift the latch up and it will release the ball. The closest two mounting holes to the latch side of the coupler are spaced 3" apart just like the DL 980-2.
To prevent anyone from taking off with your trailer you'll want a coupler lock like the etrailer # e98887.
