It sounds like you are looking for a roof rack for your 1997 Honda CR-V. We do not offer factory roof racks, but we have many aftermarket roof racks for you to choose from. I have attached a link to all of the roof racks that are listed as a fit for your vehicle. Simply select the style of your roof (raised side rails, bare roof or factory roof rack) and a list of compatible roof racks will populate. I can provide you with a few recommendations if you would like.
If your CR-V has a bare roof, then I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Roof Rack which consists of the following parts:
Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA118S-2
2500 Series Leg Kit # RRRLKVA
Custom DK Clamps and Pads # DK053
If your CR-V has the factory raised side rails, then I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars, # RRVA106B-2, and the Leg Kit, # RRSX100. This roof rack wraps around the raised side rails to provide crossbars.
Aftermarket roof racks will vary in weight capacity, so you will want to note the weight capacity of the roof rack you choose and the weight capacity of your vehicle's roof. If the weight capacity of your vehicle's roof is lower than the weight capacity of the roof rack you choose, then you will want to use the lower weight capacity as the limiting factor. Your vehicle's roof weight capacity is frequently found in the owners manual.
