Question:
Hi, I have a 2007 Chevy Equinox LT and was looking into installing a trailer hitch and wiring for trailer signals. If I use the Curt C56012 wiring, which attaches behind a side panel in the cargo area where the jack is stored, is there a way to run the wiring out the bottom of the car and under to connect to the trailer, like how most trucks connect? Or would the wiring have to be run out the back hatch with the jack storage compartment open? I just got the Equinox and havent had the chance to look and see if this was possible yet. Thanks!

The best way to install and use the Curt Wiring Harness part # C56012 would be to keep it stored in the jack compartment when not in use and then when needed open the jack compartment and run the 4-way out through the rear door. Running it through the floor might be possible, but it's not the recommended way for installing the harness so I cannot recommend a way for you to do that.
For a hitch the Curt Class III Hitch # 13591 would be an excellent choice. It's a Class III hitch with a 2 inch opening with 3,500 lbs trailer weight and 350 lbs tongue weight capacity. Check out the install video I attached.
