Yes, you are correct. The Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brakes item # K23-478-479 are exactly what you need for AL-KO 4,400 lbs axles.

Hello- since I posted my question to you I have been looking on the internet and I’m not convinced this is the electric brake kit I need. My axel part number is Al-ko 402268 4400lb axle. I’m not challenging you or anything like that but would you check again? I don’t want to have to return these. From what I read I’m probably going to have to upgrade to Dexter 5200 lb axels as the particular brake drum I have is obsolete

@ShaneL The Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brakes item # K23-478-479 are compatible, but I'd like you to measure the bolt hole spacing of your brake mounting flanges just to be sure. If the top holes are 2-7/8" apart and the bottom are 3-1/4" apart, then the # K23-478-479 would work for you.

@JerredH That’s how I discovered the issue- my bottom center to center is only 2 5/8 center to center. I’m not sure of the top spacing. What I have read since I asked the question yesterday is when Dexter bought Al ko out they discontinued this particular brake and I’m basically SOL and the only option is to upgrade to Dexter 5200 lb axle. If you could verify that and provide me with the right axel part number for 5200 lbs I would greatly appreciate it.
