Hello Rene. The best way to do this will be to replace the pin box on your 5th wheel with a goosebox like the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY66FR that you were looking at. That said, these Gen-Y gooseboxes are not universal, and I will need more information from you in order to make an accurate recommendation.

First I will need to know the pin box number or size of your current pin box. For example, the Gen-Y # GY66FR will replace the Lippert 1621 and 1621 HD 5th-wheel pin boxes. So, if this is not exactly what you have, a different model will be required. The # GY66FR is also made for campers with a pin weight between 3,500 lbs - 5,500 lbs and we will want to make sure this is appropriate for your 5th wheel.

If you can tell me your pin box size/number and the GVWR of your 5th wheel, I can make sure you get the right replacement. Feel free to just drop that info in the comments below when you have it.

@ReneS That sounds like a Lippert part number, but this does not tell us the pin box size, and unfortunately Lippert does not make it possible to know the size based on just this number. Is there a sticker on the pin box that shows the model number and serial number and such? If you can email me a picture of that sticker I should be able to determine the size one way or another. my email is [email protected].

@ReneS I just heard back from Lippert. Your pin box is a Lippert Rhino Box. The correct Gen-Y Gooseneck pin box is as follows: - Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - Lippert Rhino - 24K GTW - 4.5K TW # GY33GR
