The B&W Patriot # BWRVK3270 is not compatible with the Curt # C16220 or any other adapter. Using the Patriot will require installation of the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWRVK2506. However, this would require removal of your existing gooseneck hitch.
The adapter has quite a few restrictions which are as follows:
-Will not work with fifth-wheel hitches or pin boxes that rotate.
-Will not work with auto-slide fifth-wheel hitches.
-Will not work with B and W Patriot fifth-wheel sliders.
-Not compatible with Curt S20 fifth-wheel sliders.
Unfortunately, there isn't a good option to use the Patriot unless you have actual rails installed in the truck. You could sell it and switch to a different slider if you don't want to install the rails. You could also replace your gooseneck hitch with the B&W Turnoverball # BWGNRK1016-5W and use the Companion # BWRVK3400-5W.
