How Much Space Should be Between Timbren Spring and Bracket

Question:

Can you tell me how much of a gap is between the spring and the bottom plate with and without the spacer? And is it alright to add spacers so it is always engaged as if it has a load? Part TRF1504E 2022 Ford F150 XL Crewcab 2 wheel drive.

Hey Dave, with Timbrens like the part # TFR1504E you want there to be a gap of right at 1 inch between where the spring contacts the bracket so that you get a decent ride quality plus the support you want. If you add a spacer to make it contact sooner you will basically end up hating the ride quality.
