7-way Recommendation for a Pre-Wired 2014 VW Tiguan R Towing Trailer with LED Lights

Question:

Just purchased new tiguan which comes pre-wired and they provide a 7 pin fitting that does not appear to be compatible with the 7 pin to 4 pin connectors that I need for my LED trailer. there are 6 pins with a center pin in the fitting which also is notchedinch and are female connections. VW has no parts listed to convert this fitting into a usable electrical feed. Any ideas or does anyone have experience with this application ?

First off, thank you very much for including the picture that you did. With that picture I know exactly what connector you would need.

What you have is the industry standard plug that a standard 7-way would plug into. You would want the Replacement Multi-Tow 7-Way # 30955. The connector end of this would plug right into the connector of your picture and you would have a fully functional 4 and 7-way.

Since your trailer has a LED lights and a 4-way you would want the 7-Way to 5-Way and 4-Way Trailer Adapter for VW, Audi and Porsche Towing Trailers with LED Lights # C35FR to plug into the 7-way of the # 30955 to provide you with a 4-way compatible with your LED trailer.
