Wiring Needed to Install a Prodigy Brake Controller in a 1996 GMC Suburban

I currently have a prodigy p2 that I use in my 2003 tundra and it works great the few times I have used. Recently we picked up a 1996 GMC k2500 suburban 7.4 for towing and I would like to use the p2 that I already have and just move between vehicles. I am looking for the factory cable that will connect to my suburban and p2 controller. All I seem to find is from 99+ so I am unsure which cable I actually need. Please help!!

There is a way to wire up your Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885 in your 1996 GMC Suburban, but there isn't an adapter that will simply plug into the back of your controller and then plug into a port under your dash.
Since I do not know what kind of trailer connector you have I will first start with recommending a 4-way, if you do not need one disregard this info. For a 4-way you would want part # 18252.
Now if you have a 4-way already the next component you would need is a Brake Installation kit part # ETBC7. This comes with everything to install a brake controller on a vehicle with a 4-way. Installation instructions and video attached.
If you have a 7-way already but its not wired up for a brake controller all you would need is the Wiring Kit part # 5506 to run the wire back to the brake output circuit of your 7-way.
