Question:
In replacing the demco hydraulic drum brake assembly with electric drum, the electric drum you reference as a replacement part has studs in the back of the drum backing plate, where as the Demco does not. Are those studs removable? Otherwise, you can’t mount it

Hello Steven. The mounting studs that come with the # AKEBRK-35L-SA technically are removable. You would probably have to knock them out with a hammer or a rubber mallet if you want to remove them. These will bolt up to a standard 4 bolt brake flange, and you would just attach the nuts from the back of the flange. If your brake flange already has bolts, you can just knock them out of the backing plate.
