Does etrailer Hitch for 2017 Ford Edge Sport Require Bumper Modification
Updated 04/01/2024 | Published 03/31/2024 >
Question:
I have a 2017 Ford Edge Sport, equipped with the hands free liftgate/kick sensor. Will this hitch fit without modifying the rear bumper on a Sport, and will there be any issues with the liftgate kick sensor after installation?

Hey Adam, the etrailer hitch part # e36RR that you referenced does fit your 2017 Ford Escape Sport, does not require modifying the rear bumper, and does allow the hands free liftgate to still function but you would need to kick your foot to either side of the hitch opening.
