Question:

Hi there. I have a 2022 Grand Design Solitude 390RK 5th wheel RV. Im looking at doing the brakes. Looking at Dexter 7,000 lb Trailer Axle NEV-R-Adjust 12x2 Electric Brake Kit-Left and Right Hand 023-464-00 and 023-465-00 . I know I need 2 of these packs2 axles but what grease seals and bearings would I need? My axle is AXLE 7000# WET BOLTS HUB/DRUMS 90.5 74 1/4 SPRING CTR BRONZE VENDOR PART# 9625074. Hi William,

Grand Design unfortunately doesn't list the hub part number so you have three options to determine the bearings that you have:

Option 1: You can remove the hub and the bearings and grease to see if their part numbers are still legible on them. To get to the inner bearing you have to remove the grease seal so you won't be able to move the trailer until you have a new ready to go.

Option 2: You can remove the hub and measure the spindle with a digital caliper # PTW80157 at points B,C, and D on the diagram below. You'll also need to measure the bore hole for the hub as shown on the diagram below.

Option 3: If the axle tag sticker is still on the axle tube you can send me a picture of it and I can use the information on it to look up the bearings/seal.

Once we have either the part numbers or measurements I can then look up the correct replacements for you.
