Replacement Awning Roller and Fabric For Damaged 20' Power Awning When Adding Family Room Addition

Question:

I’m not completely clear about whether this family room has its own “ceiling/roof” or if my awning serves that purpose. I’m asking because our awning was damaged when we left for about two hours, forgot to close the awning and a sudden wind storm hit. The roll bar was completely destroyed as it was folded in half. The material has a tear about 6” long that can be repaired with some black duct tape. I understand I need to replace the roll bar but am wondering if I should continue to hold onto the fabric or replace it with this family room. I have the Forest River 2021 Riverstone Legacy model 39RKFB. It was the 20’ awning I’m referring to.

The awning does act as the roof for the Solera Family Room # LC362223. If you plan on repairing your fabric please use the Repair Tape # CAM42623 rather than duct tape. This tape is specifically designed for use on the awning material and will not dry out like duct tape from the UV rays. We do offer the following Replacement Roller and Fabric Kits for a 20' power awning if you just want to replace them both at once.

We also have just the Roller # LC33FR if you feel like you can live with the rip in the fabric and be okay with seeing the patch.
