Question:
I have a customer with a 2006 Silverado 2500HD with the 6.0 gas engine. It is an extended cab pickup. She would like to install a set of running boards but she does not want them to extend past the front doors into the rear portion of the extended cab door opening. My question is can I purchase a set of running boards for this vehicle but in a single cab configuration and will the mounting provisions work for her vehicle even though it is an extended cab?

For your application I recommend installing the Carr Custom-Fit Side Steps # CARR124031 since these are more of a universal installation and can be installed so they are only used at the front doors.
You can try installing the Westin E-Series Round Nerf Bars # 23-1405 for a regular cab, but anytime I've reached out to Westin they are pretty adamant about making sure the correct cab is selected when purchasing so I'm pretty skeptical that this will work for the truck you're working on.
