Question:
Dear Sirs, My vehicle has about a 4-inch lift, and I am straining my old left leg getting into the drivers seat. The leg up is just too much, and it often hurts like hell. My question is, how far do these steel steps down below the cab floor level? Thank you.

According to my contact at Carr, their 17-inch Custom-Fit Super Hoop Side Steps # CARR124031 will extend down from their mounting point such that the step pad surface will be a maximum of 8-inches below the mounting point.
