Will Air Lift Air Bags Fit Lowered 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500HD

Hi Etrailer. I have a 2006 chevy Silverado 1500 with a 11/2 lowering shackle. viewing the kit # AL88250 will this work on my truck? thanks for your reply. Jeff.

Air bags like the # AL88250 are designed to fit a suspension at stock height. These and similar air bags will not fit on your lowered 2006 Silverado 1500HD. The best way to get extra support on your truck would be to install the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-211-47. However, they may engage too quickly or immediately with the lowering shackles so you might have to trim the bottom to get the ideal 1/2" gap between the SumoSprings and the point of contact.

Good Morning Robin, thank you for a quick response time. at this time i'm using a Elite EZtow W/D hitch and it has the truck and trailer sitting at a level stance, just seeing if there's a easier and l quicker way for hookup! thank you once again for your input. Jeff.
