A-Frame Trailer Jack that Can Have Wheel Caster Installed
Published 02/27/2024 >
Question:
I have a utility trailer with a welded-on A-frame, top wind jack. The previous owner welded a plate on the bottom. I would like to put a wheel there. Can I simply buy another top wind jack and replace just the lower unit and reuse the upper outer tube that is welded on? It is a Bulldog brand jack. Thanks!

Hey Brian, so a-frame jacks aren't designed to have just the inner portion replaced like you asked about. You would need to replace the entire jack which would require cutting off the old jack and welding on a new one like the part # BD155028 that has a wheel caster with part # BD500245.
Now if your jack has a removable foot plate and an outer diameter of 2 inch you could just use the wheel # BD500245.
