Recommended Flat Towing Setup for a 1999 Jeep Cherokee

I have 1999 Jeep XJ Cherokee and the Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar - Non-Binding - RV Mount - 2 Hitch - 6,000 lbs 3453 . looking for Base plate plus other parts needed to be able to tow the jeep behind my RV , Thanks Erik

Hey Erik, so what you've got left apart from the Roadmaster Falcon # RM-522 that you already have is a base plate, a braking system, and a wiring kit.

For a base plate kit, I recommend going with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1110 using the Blue Ox Base Plate Adapter Brackets for Roadmaster Tow Bars # BX88151.

This base plate kit is custom fit to your vehicle so it'll be a pretty straight forward install, and when paired with the adapter brackets you'll be able to also use your Flacon tow bar.

For a braking system, I recommend going with the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR. This is a portable braking system that is pretty easy and quick to set up, so whenever you're done towing you can simply just pull it out and store it for later.

Finally, for a wiring harness, I recommend checking out the Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights # RM-2120. This harness just connects to your motorhome's wiring and will effectively provide your towed vehicle with brake, turn, and running lights.

Hi Bryce, Can I use the Roadmaster Tow Bar to Blue Ox Brackets Adapter Item # RM-031 instead of the Adapter Brackets for Roadmaster Tow Bars # BX88151., will save me mucho$$$$
