Which Gen-Y Gooseneck Adapter Fits 2023 Alliance Paradigm 310RL 5th Wheel

Question:

Customer has a Lippert frame and wants to know Gen-Y recommended Gooseneck Pin Box model to replace the current Curt Rota Flex pin box. The numbers on the pin box are below: S009956071 RPO-0009893052 LCI Item Number: 8128071 Chassis MFG Date: 03/13/23 Trailer: 2023 Alliance Paradigm 310RL 5th Wheel GVWR 15,000 LBS. Hitch Weight 2530 LBS. Empty Thank you, Sound Of Freedom RV

Thanks for all of the info you listed from the RV's Rota Flex pin box. Based on that the pin box model style is the Lippert 1621 so for a Gen-Y gooseneck adapter the correct part number is the # 325-GH-8045.

Thanks Jameson, The capacity calculation is somewhat deceptive. They say 22% of GVWR which is 3300#, but the data plate states the hitch weight empty is 2530# Their chart would put that 3300# in the 4.5K model. Would the 4.5K model be a better soliution for the calculated load on the pin?

@SoundL 22 percent of the weight as pin weight is higher than usual so it's interesting that is the figure they gave. Typically it's 15 to 20 percent. With that said even if it was 3,300 lb I would still go with the 3.5k option part # 325-GH-8045 as you'd be under it's weight capacity but you'd be using more of the cushioning range of the pin box so it would be a smoother ride quality than going with a higher rated setup.
