Solution for Battery Threaded Terminals that Nut Won't Fit Onto

Question:
I have a 6v rv battery with a threaded terminal post. There are numerous wires connected to it. I cannot put the 1/2” nut on. How do I fix this

If the wires connected to the post are just wrapped around the threads and aren't using a ringer terminal it would be best to attach ring terminals to the wires instead. We don't carry ring terminals in this size but a local auto parts store would be able to help.
