Does The Exhaust Need to be Lowered On a 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness To install etrailer Trailer
Updated 01/31/2024 | Published 01/30/2024 >
Question:
2024 Subaru Wilderness. Im going to install the e25TR hitch. Because the Wilderness is a different model than what is shown in your instructions and video - do the mufflers and the heat shields need to be removed to install the hitch?

Expert Reply:
Since our etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e25TR mounts to the rear of the frame behind the bumper impact structure on your 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness it will not require removal/loosening of the heat shields. There is enough room to get to the single bolt hole on each side which sits just above the exhaust hanger without having to remove the exhaust.
