Question:
I need a replacement rv ac unit. I have a Coleman Mach 15 ac heat pump. I don’t need heat. My unit is controlled by a Spyder panel thermostat . Will the Furrion 15k replace my unit?. Mine also is ducted and mounts from the top with no access from inside. Mounting bolts are on the roof. I need plug and play.Is the wiring different with a heat pump verses cool only?

Rooftop condenser units, like the Furrion # FR58PR, you referenced just have a wire harness with either a 6-pin or 9-pin connector that hangs down from the bottom of the unit and plugs into the control box. With yours not having an air distribution box or access from below could mean that they cut the connector off and ran extra wiring over to wherever the control box was mounted. With you having a heat pump you should have a 9-pin connector (if it hasn't been cutoff). If you do still have the connector then you can use an adapter # C-FACR15SA-A01 to make your connection.
If you do not still have the connector and everything is hardwired then you'd need to reach out to Coleman with your system's serial/model number and figure out the wire harness functions. Once you have those you'll then need to get the wire functions from Furrion as well so you can match the correct wires for the system to operate. This unit and the others that we currently offer do not have a heat pump so you would be losing this function switching over.
With you having a separate panel to control your system it most likely goes panel-control box-condenser unit in the wiring so even though a regular Furrion control box likely wouldn't be compatible with your Spyder panel you'd still be using the Coleman control box for communicate between the panel and condenser unit and shouldn't have an issue.
As for mounting the new unit. This unit fits 14" x 14" opening and has bolt holes to mount the unit in each corner of the hole. With your current unit having a different mounting style you'll likely need to reuse your old hardware so you'll want to hang onto it when removing the old unit.
