Side Plates Needed To Install Demco 21K Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch In a 2023 GMC Sierra 3500 Puck Bed

Question:

My 2017 GMC Sierra 3500 had a DEMCO 21k Autoslide mounted on a DEMCO rail system. Both truck and hitch were totaled when I was rear-ended. Im about to purchase a newer 2023-2024 Sierra 3500 with factory 5th wheel/gooseneck system. Do I still need the rail system or can I use the side plate kit such as DM6033 to mount a new 21k autoslide?

You would either need the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch # DM29GV which already has the Side Plates # DM49GV. Or if you already have the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550035 you found you would need to add the Side Plates # DM49GV. These would fit either a 2023 or 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 with the factory Puck System.

The Side Plates # DM6033 you mentioned are specific to Ford's puck systems.
