What 5th wheel hitch do you recommend for my shortbed 2024 Silverado 2500? It has the puck system if that makes a difference?

I recommend going with the 30K Curt PowerRide # C36WR for the puck system on your 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed because of the high weight capacity and the smooth towing experience it offers.

Normally for short bed trucks we recommend a sliding 5th wheel hitch, but we've seen multiple users be able to still have enough cab clearance with a stationary hitch on the GM pickups. Basically as long as your 5th wheel trailer has a tapered nose (which all of the modern ones do) then you'll be just fine on clearance and you don't need to use a bulkier sliding hitch.
