Troubleshooting No Trailer Connected Error Message of 2019 Toyota Tundra

Question:
I have a 2019 tundra which started showing a message trailor brake disconnected. Lights work but no brakes. So I decided to plug the trailor into different truck, dodge 2500 and it is working. I am assuming it is not reading the trailer from the brake wiring. Does a tow ready 20142 resolve this concern or any other fix? Has factory brake controller

Most likely the problem is just some corrosion on the brake output pins of your truck's trailer wiring. What you would want to do is take some sandpaper to the pins of the 7-way so that you can clean off the contact points which will allow the trailer to be able to be sensed.
If not that there is a TSB on a similar issue that you should check with Toyota on.
