I have a 9500 lb badlands winch and a receiver mount. I want to power it from the rear of my mercury mountaineer. What do I need?

The wiring kit you are going to need to go with is one that has a thick enough gauge to provide the amperage requirements of your winch and also has a long enough length to make it from your battery to the rear of the vehicle.
Since I looked up the overall length of your 2006 Mercury Mountaineer and found that it's right at 16 foot I would recommend the Bulldog winch wiring kit part # BDW20043 which is 3 gauge and 16 foot in overall length.
