Are There Any Tonneau Covers Available That Allow For Removal Of Just The Cover And Not The Rails

Looking at the BAK Revolver X2 Hard Tonneau Cover vs a Switchblade. Im changing trucks this year and want to build side gates that can remove that will incorporate modular cross bars for my yakima gear, ladders r The reason I need everything modular is for a truck camper to fit in the back my off road cargo trailer will become the gear hauler The tonneu cover I think cover only and not the rails will need to remove..my current truck has a velcro tuxedo and has held up well is also easily removed while leaving rails. But I do want to try the Xtra security of a hard style roll up tonneu.. So pour yourself a cup of coffee get out your mouse and play w ideas..looking at a 2024 Chevy/GMC 3500 dually 8ft Box

The Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # PE87CV is only compatible with single rear wheel models so it unfortunately wouldn't be a compatible option. This cover along with the BAK Revolver X2 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK64FR you were looking at would require complete removal of the rails as the cover wouldn't easily disassemble and allow the rails to stay. The # BAK64FR is just held to the bed with a few clamps so while it wouldn't be convenient you could still easily remove it.
I have a soft, roll-up cover on my Silverado and remove it regularly to mount other accessories that aren't compatible with it. I roll the cover up and secure it with the straps/buckles and then remove the clamps. Next, with an extra set of hands I'll lift the side rails vertical and carry the cover from the bulkhead rail/rolled up cover over to storage.
We don't currently offer any other cover, including snap-on covers, that would allow you to just remove only the cover and leave the rails in place for a 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500 DRW.
