Timbren Spacers For A 1987 GMC Pickup With A 2-1/2" Lift

Question:

So I have a 2 1/2inch lift kit on my 1987 one ton GMC. are ther any adatoptor brackets / spacers? I have a 10 inch distance from the top of existing bump stop rubber to top of axle.

Yes, there are spacers that can be used with the Timbren # TGMRTTK30 kit on your 1987 GMC Pickup with a 2-1/2" lift. We recommend using two of the 1" spacers # TA25723-90AD00 on each side. The idea is to have a 1/2" to 1-1/2" gap between the bottom of the spring and the contact point. The Timbren # TGMRTTK30 is 7-1/8" tall overall so adding 2" of spacers should leave about a 7/8" gap which will be perfect.

Keep in mind that the bolts that come with the Timbren kit may not be long enough to accommodate the spacers. You probably will need to need to grab a few 1/2" grade 5 bolts from a local hardware store.
