Question:

I have a 5th wheel with a Reese Airborne Sidewinder pin box, and using a Demco Recon hitch. Ive been using the MORryde Orbital Pin Box Wedge for BandW, which was the recommended wedge when I purchased the rig. Because of the severe slope of the ramp on the receiver plate of the Demco hitch, Ive never been super comfortable with the amount of contact this wedge has inside the receiver plate slot. It seems like the Demco Wedge #6285 would have about twice the contact, given that it extends all the way to the pin, and looks like it is more accurately shaped for the slot. But all the info I am getting on this wedge is that it is for the Autoslide hitch and 2020+ 5th Airborne. Wont the Demco #6285 work with my setup?

The Demco Autoslide Locking Plate for Lippert Turning Point and 5th Airborne Pin Boxes # DM77GV will fit your Recon # DM8550043. According to Demco this will be a much better fit than your current wedge giving you the extra contact you're looking for.
