Question:
I have a stupid question. I bought a DemCo 21k autoslider an Im trying to loosen the capture plate screws. Does the inside or outside need loosened first? They are both so tight and not moving so Im just thinking could I be doing something wrong.

According to the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider # DM89GV instructions you finger tighten the inner jam nuts first and then tighten the outside jams nuts next for the installation. For removal you'll just reverse these steps so loosen up the outside jam nuts first and then you can loosen up the inner jam nuts.
If you're loosening these up after using the hitch it's good to remember that these were just used to keep a heavy pin box fixed to the hitch head that moved a 5th wheel trailer so they will be fairly tight.
