Since you have a short bed in your 2024 Ram 1500 I recommend using the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550040. This hitch automatically slides back as you turn up to 22-1/2" ensuring your 5th wheel will not run into your cab when you need to maneuver. You will be able to install it using the Rail Kit # DM8552032-71 in the bed of your truck.
