Question:
I will be taking delivery of a 2024 F250 with 6 3/4 bed. I ordered the factory gooseneck kit puck system. I will be pulling a 2023 East West Tandara 321 ok 5th wheel 35 ft. 14,000 gvw. I was looking at the Anderson. it seems to give clearance for turns and is lightweight to be able to remove it. What would your thoughts be and other recommendations be for this setup? Thanks

I personally do not like the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th wheel trailer hitch in any of its forms. It provides zero cushioning, unlike most hitches currently on the market, which can give you a rough ride quality. I've also seen too many videos of these hitches failing and crumpling in on themselves to trust them. The connection point for the pin box is further back for more clearance but a sliding hitch would give you much more turning clearance to prevent the nose of the trailer from coming into contact with the cab of the truck.
If you still trust the hitch and want to go with it then you'll want to get the gooseneck mounted version so that you don't have to get a rail adapter to connect the base rail version # AM3200 to the puck system in your new 2024 Ford F-250.
Personally, I recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w Slider # BWRVK3370. This hitch is going to have a bigger footprint and weigh significantly more, but B&W is well known for their quality and dependability. The slider base has feet that will drop into the puck system for easy installation/removal and will provide 12" of travel for better turning clearance. The head can easily be removed to lessen the weight of the hitch so that you can get it in and out of the bed.
