Visibility of Trailer Hitch Installed on 2014 Kia Soul
Published 04/04/2014 >
Question:
I am trying to decide on a hitch to buy for my 2014 Kia Soul and want one that is close to the bumper so it isnt hanging down and super visible. Do you have any pictures or videos available for the 2014 Kia Soul? This hitch will be used to hold a bike rack with 2 bikes on it. The Curt hitch looks inferior with the left side being made out of flat plate steel. How sturdy is this hitch. I read that it requires some straps if you are carrying bikes. The Draw-Tite hitch looks way more solid. What are he major differences between them and which has the most stealth look? Thanks

We do indeed have a photo provided from Curt showing their # C11419 installed on a second-generation Kia Soul.
As you can see, the only portion of the hitch that's visible from eye level at the rear of the vehicle is the receiver opening, almost all of the crossbar is concealed by the bumper.
Draw-Tite has # 24915 which would also be largely concealed behind the bumper.
Both hitches have the same weight rating, and would install in the same manner.
I'd recommend the Draw-Tite.
