Can Dexter Heavy-Duty Suspension Kit Replace 6-1/4 Inch Long Equalizer

Question:

I am wanting to replace my tandem-axle leaf spring suspension with a new wet bolt assembly. I looked at your Dexter kit, Item # K71-359-00, but some of the dimensions were slightly different. I have AL KO Kober axles, 5200 lbs, model T52 3. The axle spacing is 33 with a 1 3/4 double-eye springs. The differences in dimensions from the Dexter kit are as follows: 1 Distance between outer shackle bolt holes, center on center, is 6 1/4 2 Distance between hanger bolt hole and shackle bolt hole, center on center is 3 3/4. 3 Height of side bolt hole to hanger bolt hole is 2 1/8. Shackle links and bolts are the same as in the Dexter kit. Im hoping that you might another product that matches those dimensions. I couldnt find it, but you have a lot of products to look at. I appreciate any help you might have as my old setup has a lot of wear and a new wet bolt assembly would be much better. Thanks

We don't have an exact match, but based on your dimensions the Dexter Heavy-Duty Suspension Kit # K71-359-00 will still work for your trailer. The 1/2" difference in length and 1/8" difference in height won't be enough to impact the performance of your trailer's suspension. If the equalizer was significantly longer or taller it would be best to swap out the equalizer for one that is a better match, but in this case that will not be necessary.
