Can a 2013 lincoln navigator 4wd be flat towed

According to the online owners guide for a 2013 Lincoln Navigator, 4WD models are only to be towed with all 4 wheels off the ground, on a car-hauling trailer. It cannot be towed with any wheels on the ground, as transmission or vehicle damage can occur.
