Does A Higher Load Range And Tire Size Help Prevent Blow Outs

Question:

I have a 2021 Keystone Alpine 3910RK 5th Wheel. My RV currently has Hi-Spec 235/80R16 G tires and are original. I had my first blowout and as I have been researching why that happened, it appears these may be the minimum for my RV with no overhead for annual deterioration of 10. I am looking to replace all 5 tires now, and would like to know if I should be staying with a 235/80R16 G or move to a 235/80R16 H or 235/85R16 G or H?

If you want to increase the load range for the tires to help prevent another blow out then you can definitely switch out to load range H. We currently only offer a load range G in this size # PRG80235. If you switch to 235/85R16 then you'd be increasing the capacity of the tire but also the height of the sidewall so you'll need to ensure that you'll have space to still maintain a 3" clearance between the tire and body of the trailer/fender. For this size we also only load range G # TTWPRG235R16.
