Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

Question:
Why is there no harness for the hybrid model

Expert Reply:
I checked with the manufacturers we carry and there is an option from Hopkins, # 46365. But this is a hardwire wiring harness and not a plug and play type of harness. This means you will have to test the vehicle wiring with a circuit tester such as # 3808 and then splice in the harness wires accordingly.
You will want to consult your vehicle owners manual for information on towing with the Sonata. Many hybrids are not rated for towing and the hitches for them should be used only for accessories such as bike racks and cargo carriers.
